This course delivers a thorough examination of the essential operational and maintenance practices for building systems crucial to safety and functionality. It covers key areas such as the inspection, testing, servicing, and record-keeping for vital fire protection systems, including sprinklers, standpipes, fire alarms, emergency power supplies, and portable fire extinguishers.

Participants will explore the significance of routine maintenance and become familiar with procedures for a variety of systems, including commercial cooking equipment, elevator readiness, smoke control mechanisms, non-water fire extinguisher systems, means of egress, refrigeration systems, flame-resistant decorations, and emergency preparedness.

The course provides practical guidance on visual inspection and testing schedules, broken down into daily, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual intervals. By completing this course, participants will acquire the expertise needed to effectively manage and document the upkeep of essential building systems, ensuring ongoing safety and operational efficiency.
