Special Education Services

IDI is committed to offer equal opportunity for persons with disabilities. We provide reasonable accommodation to all students who participate in our special programs. We are collaborating with Community Based Organizations to expand our programs and services. IDI offers Specialized Training Programs to support and assist students with special needs in the following areas.

Postsecondary Transition Opportunities: assist students during high school to their next level in life including technical career education.

Career Development: prepares student for career research, resume preparation, interview process and techniques to maintain a job.

Student Assistance: to support students academically and those who struggle in reading, writing and math.

Small group: Small group instruction generally reinforces and helps the student focus more on learning specific skills and concepts and provides a reduced student-teacher ratio. Small groups typically range in size from six to eight students..

Extended testing time: is used to help students who need additional time to complete activities, assignments, practical applications and/or tests that are assigned to them. The amount of extended time a student receives can range from 30% (time and a half) to 90% (triple time) For example a 60-minutes exam. with extended time it can be from 90 minutes up to 180 minutes.

Job Placement Assistance: We assist all our graduates and connect students in the job market according to the training program that they have successfully completed.
