International Development Institute maintains a fair and equitable refund policy in accordance with the guidelines established by the New York State Education Department for proprietary schools. This policy applies to all students enrolled in programs offered by the school.

Cancellation Prior to the Start of Classes

A student who cancels within seven (7) calendar days of signing the enrollment agreement, before instruction begins, will receive all monies paid with the exception of the non-refundable registration fee, where permitted by applicable regulations.

Cancellation After the Start of Classes

After instruction begins, a student will be liable for the non-refundable registration fee, the cost of any textbooks, supplies, equipment, or materials received, and tuition liability based on the student’s last date of attendance. Tuition liability is determined by the percentage of the program completed under the applicable refund schedule.

All requests for cancellation or refund must be submitted in writing or by email. Once approved, refunds will be issued within forty-five (45) calendar days from the date the school receives the official written cancellation notice or otherwise determines the student’s withdrawal or termination date under school policy.

The school reserves the right to change, postpone, or cancel the starting date of any course. When possible, students will be notified in advance. If a course is canceled by the school and no acceptable alternative is provided, the student will be entitled to an appropriate refund in accordance with applicable policy.
